Bloodguard
What is BloodGuard®?
BloodGuard® is a fabric treatment powered by Nanotex® technology that makes stains—especially blood—bead up and roll off instead of soaking in. It’s built into select Bimini Bay Outfitters apparel to keep your gear cleaner, longer.
How does BloodGuard® work?
The treatment alters the fabric on a molecular level, creating a barrier that repels liquids and stains without changing the look, feel, or breathability of the fabric.
Does BloodGuard® affect comfort?
Not at all. Our apparel stays lightweight, soft, and breathable. You won’t even notice it’s there—until you see how clean your gear stays.
Is BloodGuard® permanent?
Yes. Unlike spray-on repellents, BloodGuard® is bonded directly to the fibers during production. That means it won’t wash out or wear off quickly like temporary treatments.
Who is BloodGuard® designed for?
Anyone who spends time outdoors—whether fishing, hunting, or working on the water. BloodGuard® keeps you looking sharp while tackling the messiest conditions.
Do I need special care when washing BloodGuard® clothing?
No special care is required. Just wash and dry your apparel as normal. BloodGuard® is designed to withstand repeated washes while maintaining its protective performance.

What does UPF mean and how much sun protection does SolarGuard® provide?
UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor, which measures how effectively a fabric blocks harmful UVA and UVB rays. For example, a UPF 50 rating means the fabric allows only 1/50th of the sun’s rays to pass through, providing 98% protection. Our SolarGuard® apparel is independently tested to ensure it meets or exceeds UPF standards, so you can stay protected and comfortable during long days outdoors.
